What Izuku Midoriya (Rising) is in All's Justice

Izuku Midoriya (Rising) is an unlockable fighter in the console and PC arena fighter My Hero Academia: All's Justice. The official roster lists him as his own character, the final-war version of Deku, with the Quirk One For All. The game also has a battle state called Rising that any fighter can turn on. The character and the state share a word. They are not the same selection on the character screen.

A roster slot from the Final War

All's Justice is the 3D arena fighter that follows My Hero One's Justice 2. Byking developed it and Bandai Namco Entertainment publishes it. Battles are teams of three fighters. You win by defeating all three opponents, and you can switch characters in the middle of a combo. The publisher describes the roster as heroes and villains from across the series, including final, full-powered versions.

On the English character page, Izuku Midoriya Rising sits with the U.A. High School cast, next to separate listings for Izuku Midoriya (One For All), Izuku Midoriya (Shoot Style), Izuku Midoriya Full Cowling 100%, and an Izuku Midoriya entry with no extra subtitle. The Japanese character card for the Rising slot adds two practical notes: clearing Story Mode unlocks him, and an early-purchase or pre-order bonus could unlock him sooner. The card's voice credit is Daiki Yamashita, the same name printed on the other Deku cards. The My Hero Academia wiki's English cast list for the game credits Justin Briner as Izuku Midoriya. That wiki list is for the game, not a separate Rising-only credit.

Xbox Wire, in a 29 January 2026 battle overview, calls the pre-order pair "Izuku Midoriya Rising" and "All For One Chaos," and says those two let you play as Deku and All For One during the final stages of the Final War. That is the cleanest official description of who the slot is meant to be.

Where he shows up in Story Mode

A Japanese story index for the game places a movie titled "Izuku Midoriya: Rising" immediately after a battle titled "WE ARE HERE." That battle is chapter 21-7, marked as eight fights in a row. If you lose during the string, you restart that fight. The Rising movie is 21-8. An ending movie and an epilogue movie follow it. English unlock coverage says that beating We Are Here and watching the ending adds him to Free Battle. The publisher's own English text is shorter: the character is normally unlocked by specific in-game conditions. The mission title itself comes from the guide and the story index, not from a printed English unlock popup in the sources checked here.

The step-by-step route, including the paid Early Unlock Pack, is on the unlock guide.

The other Rising: a timed power state

Every fighter can enter a state named Rising. Official explanations from Bandai Namco Europe, Bandai Namco America, Xbox Wire, and the Japanese action page agree on the outline. A Rising Gauge fills when you land hits and when you take hits. At max, you spend the gauge to activate Rising. Attack power, movement speed, and recovery go up, and Quirk skills get stronger. Some characters also gain a Rising Action and a Rising Ability that exist only while the state is on. The Japanese page calls the state time-limited, and says some fighters change appearance and movement while it is active.

If you are the last fighter left on your team, a stronger version turns on by itself. Xbox Wire and the Japanese page call that Ultimate Rising, and describe it as stronger and longer than ordinary Rising. The shorter European battle article says the last character automatically starts in the Rising state. Use the Ultimate Rising wording when you need the precise name.

That system applies to Izuku Midoriya Rising the same way it applies to Bakugo or Mirko. Activating the state does not swap you into the Rising roster slot, and picking the Rising roster slot does not mean the gauge starts full. Moves, Plus Ultra, and the version 3.00 notes that mention this character are covered in the moves overview.

Platforms, in one paragraph

All's Justice shipped on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam in February 2026, then on Nintendo Switch 2 in September 2026. Store clocks differ by region: Steam lists 5 February 2026, while Bandai Namco Europe lists a 6 February 2026 console rollout at local midnight. The PC requirement list and edition notes are on the platforms page. There is no phone edition in any of those listings.

What the sources do not settle

Still unpublished in the pages checked. A full English command list for this slot's four Quirk skills, the name of his Rising Action, the name of his Rising Ability, and any frame data or damage numbers. Community notes that name "Fourth's Danger Sense" and "Sprint Rush" attach those labels to Izuku Midoriya (One For All), a different roster entry. This guide does not copy them onto Rising Deku.

Free Battle habits that follow from the published system are collected on the tips page. How this slot sits next to Shoot Style, Full Cowling 100%, and the later Overlay Full Style download is on the roster comparison.
